Friday the 13th is a horror movie franchise, consisting of 12 movies, as well as comic books, video games, and other merchandise. The movies follow a series of murders that take place at the summer camp Camp Crystal Lake - also known as 'Camp Blood' - by the masked killer Jason Voorhees (well, mostly Jason...)

The first movie released in 1980, however Jason wouldn't gain his iconic hockey mask and machete until the third movie in 1982.

For a long time, I'd never seen any horror movies (not for any particular reason, just never had). In 2017 I noticed there was a Friday the 13th in October (how spooky!) which gave me the idea to watch all of the Friday the 13th movies for halloween.

Well, at first I didn't realise there were so many, but I was committed to watch them all (even after my movie-watching buddy ditched me)! Needless to say, I was very confused when it got very meta later on with Jason X and Jason Goes To Hell...

Friday the 13th was my first ever slasher movie franchise, so it will forever have a place in my heart

My favourite movies in the franchise are probably Part 2 and The Final Chapter!
